Warranty, Return, & Payment Policy
Statement of warranty
Our company warrants all Light My World (LMW) products to be free from defects in material and workmanship leading to failure* under normal use for a period of twelve months after the date of the original purchase. A refund for a defective product will be provided only if repair or replacement is not deemed possible or practical by LMW. This warranty is extended to three or five years from original purchase date for certain products; please see the item description for your specific order.
LMW's warranty covers only the product itself; LMW will assume no liability for labor costs, installation costs, or other losses.
*LMW defines product failure as
- loss of dimming function or other applicable controls specified by LED Waves
- failure of any or all LEDs to illuminate
- failure of the bundled power supply/LED driver, and/or
- light depreciation exceeding 30% initial lumens (as per L70 standards)
occurring catastrophically or gradually within the warranty period.
LMW reserves the right to discontinue or modify the design and construction of any of its products to yield performance that is equal to or greater than the original specifications. Due to the rapidly advancing nature of LED technology, replacement products may be equivalent to the original in function, but not necessarily identical in form.
Your warranty rights will be honored only when the product has been installed and used according to the technical specifications provided by LED Waves. LMW will not repair or replace products damaged by improper use or faulty installation.
Clearance items, as well as any products listed as “Final sale,” are not covered by the warranty.
In case of breakage
All order shipments are tested and leave our facility in working order. Customer must report any damage within 3 days of receipt of order by sending digital photographs (.jpg) of damaged items and shipping materials to email@example.com. Customer must retain damaged merchandise, packing and shipping containers until claim has been settled. Damage in transit is the sole responsibility of the carrier, and any claims beyond this 3 day period will not be deemed valid by LMW. The above procedure MUST be followed, or credit for the damaged merchandise cannot be given. All claims regarding shipment error must be made within 24 hours of receipt of merchandise.
LMW will accept returns for a refund, exchange, or store credit within 30 days of the shipment of your order. Please note exceptions below.
All returns are subject to approval by LMW, and must be acknowledged with a numbered Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). To obtain an RMA number and initiate the return process, please contact us by phone (951-444-5181), through the contact form on the website, or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Refund or replacement requests may be denied based on excessive claims in the customer’s order history or any other evidence indicating that the product(s) failed prematurely due to mishandling, faulty installation, or other conditions beyond LMW’s control.
All packages sent to LED Waves must have an RMA number issued and printed clearly on the outside of the package. If the RMA number is not clearly printed on the outside of your return package, it will either be refused by our shipping department or restocked without question, and no credit or refund will be issued. All returns must be sent in their original packaging with sufficient packing material. RMAs are only valid for 30 days from date of issue. Expired RMAs will not be honored.
A 30 percent restocking fee is applied to all valid and authorized returns. Clearance items, as well as any products listed as “Final sale” can NOT be returned.
Modified or installed items will not be accepted for return. Returned items that are not in resalable condition are ineligible for exchange, refund, or store credit. These items may be returned at the customer’s expense.
For international returns that require a return label: Please note that LMW's primary carrier is FedEx and they unfortunately do not honor return labels for international returns. Under these circumstances, LMW asks that the customer return the product at their cost and upon receipt of the return, LMW will refund any shipping costs.
All orders must be paid for upon placement. LMW accepts Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, & American Express. Please call for further details.
Special Orders (customizations and/or large quantity orders)
Custom and large orders may not begin production until payment is received. Light My World will notify customer when special orders are completed. Please submit full payment and arrange delivery within five (5) business days of special order notification. Light My World may pursue legal action to claim unpaid invoiced amounts, plus interest and associated legal fees, past this five day period. Large quantity or custom orders, as well as any order subject to special payment terms, cannot be canceled, refunded or exchanged.
All orders to Alaska and Hawaii will be charged actual shipping costs including Insurance.
Orders are sent via FedEx Ground, which requires Signature Proof of Delivery unless otherwise specified by the customer. By opting for no Signature Proof of Delivery, the customer assumes all responsibilities for the secure arrival of the package once it leaves our facility.

For customers outside the United States, the shipping charge is $50 plus 8% of the total cost of items ordered.
